Local Outreach Ministries
Christian Community Action
Offerings of nonperishable food are collected each week at the entrance to the Church. Volunteers deliver the food to CCA’s pantry, which operates five mornings a week to serve the needy of South Norwalk. Our weekly contributions have increased to several hundred bags of food each year.
Meals-on-Wheels
One day each week, volunteers from St. Paul’s on the Green deliver meals to local residents who are homebound due to illness, frailty or disability.
INSPIRICA (formerly Saint Luke’s Life Works)
On several Sundays throughout the year, volunteers gather at St. Paul’s to prepare dinner and travel together to serve the meal for the Women’s Housing Program, Gilead House and the McKinney Residents in Stamford. Festive meals have included summer barbecues and a Halloween dinner prepared and served by our Youth Group.
Local Outreach Hospitality
People in need often come to St. Paul’s on the Green seeking help for themselves and their families. We have created a Norwalk Area Resource Packet containing bus tokens, bus route maps, food vouchers and information about emergency assistance services. In addition, St. Paul’s on the Green makes its facilities available for AA Meetings and for monthly recreational bingo fundraisers sponsored by the Mid-Fairfield AIDS Program . |
