Eve Isn’t Evil: The Relationship between Feminism and the Bible

A Presentation by Julie Faith Parker: September 24, 7-8:30 pm at St. Paul’s On the Green

The Bible has been used as a weapon against women for millennia—but feminist biblical scholarship is changing that harmful practice. On Tuesday, September 24, Old Testament scholar Julie Faith Parker will be at St. Paul’s on the Green for a presentation that combines historical information, visual images, and examples from her own   family to trace the waves of the feminist movement and explain their influence on biblical interpretation. Join her as she leads an exploration of the Bible’s power to enrich our feminist and theological self-understanding. After the presentation, copies of Eve Isn’t Evil will be available for purchase ($20) and signing. Light refreshments will be served.
