Supporting St. Paul’s – Your Way

We hope you were among the 115 or so people who attended St. Paul’s Annual Meeting last Saturday afternoon, and who were introduced to our Provisional Priest-in-Charge, the Reverend Daniel Simons, and his husband, Javier. We are excited to have them join with this community come February 1st. This next time of transition is filled with opportunity to delve deeply anew into what God is doing in and around St. Paul’s and to recommit ourselves to the mission in which God invites us to participate.
Coupled with Fr. Daniel’s arrival in February, we are embarking on “Supporting St. Paul’s – Your Way,” formerly our Every Member Visitation. What we have learned over the past few years is that, while we value the opportunity to engage in deep conversation, we also lead busy lives with busy schedules. This year, we offer 3 ways in which to engage and make your financial commitment to God’s Mission through St. Paul’s 2020 Budget.
- The first way is through guided conversation about the next phases of St. Paul’s life, held over a shared meal provided by St. Paul’s. Fr. Daniel will be fully involved in these meals, and you’ll have the chance to get to know him and other parishioners better.
- You may prefer to have an individual, personal visit, as we’ve done in past years. This option also allows you to have meaningful conversation about the next phases of St. Paul’s life.
- Finally, your schedule may lend itself best to recommitting to the financial support of St. Paul’s through an electronic pledge. If this is your chosen option, we will offer other ways to include your voice in our church life moving forward.
To help with planning, please RSVP with your preferred way of engagement. We would love to have your response by January 31st. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume that you’d like a personal visit, as in past years, and a visitor will reach out to schedule a mutually convenient time to meet.
This diverse, generous community continues to give much to the world outside and inside our doors. We can’t do it without you. Thank you for being part of this vibrant community of faith.
Peace,
Terri Polley and Anne Watkins, Wardens
